Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
The short version
PageScan does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no server and no analytics.
Your documents
Pages you scan or import, the text PageScan recognizes on them, your signatures and the files you export are stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage. They are included in your own iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on, under your Apple account. We never receive them.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only while you scan. Photo library access is used only to import the pictures you pick and, if you ask, to save pages to Photos.
Text recognition
OCR runs with Apple's on-device Vision framework. No image or text is sent over the network.
Sharing
When you share a PDF or image, it goes only where you send it (Mail, Files, a messaging app and so on). That app's own privacy policy applies from there.
Children
PageScan collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
